Payment Policy

This policy covers paying for Adrenaline Plus and Clover Gold: prices, renewal, cancelling, refunds and what happens when a payment fails. It forms part of the Terms of Service. How payment data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

The short version

Adrenaline and Clover are free. Plus and Gold are optional monthly subscriptions, one per server.
They renew every month until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.
When you cancel, you keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for.
Payments are not refunded except where the law requires, you were charged by mistake, we end the plan, or we choose to.
When a plan ends, the server goes back to the free version. Nothing is paused, and your settings are kept.

1. Plans and prices

Adrenaline Plus adds faster ER:LC updates, a year of logs and history, and higher limits to one server. Clover Gold unlocks every Clover feature in one server. What each plan includes is shown on the Plans page (and for Clover, in /gold and /setup), and may change over time as described in the Terms. The current prices are shown on the Plans page and on the checkout page before you pay, together with any taxes. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless the checkout page says otherwise. A subscription belongs to the server it was bought for and cannot be moved to another server, and a server cannot be sold the same plan twice.

2. Free trial (Clover Gold)

When Clover joins a server, the server may get a free trial of Clover Gold. Its length is shown in the message Clover sends and in /gold. Each server gets one trial unless we choose to give another. You do not need to enter payment details for the trial, and it does not turn into a paid subscription by itself: when it ends, the server moves to Clover Free. We may change or end free trials for new servers at any time. Adrenaline Plus does not currently have a free trial.

3. Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each monthly period for the price shown when you subscribed (or a new price we have told you about under section 9), plus applicable taxes. Stripe emails a receipt for every payment.

4. Cancelling

Clover Gold: use /gold > Manage billing, or contact us in the Clover support server.
Adrenaline Plus: contact us in the Adrenaline support server with your server's name, and we will cancel it for you.

Cancelling stops future renewals. The plan stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and then ends. Billing can be managed by the person who subscribed or by the server's owner.

5. Refunds

Payments are not refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partly used months, except:

where the law requires it;
if you were charged by mistake (for example twice for the same server), which we will refund in full;
if we end Adrenaline, Clover or a paid plan for reasons other than your breach of the Terms, or remove a major part of a plan, in which case we refund the unused part of the current month; or
where we decide to, at our discretion.

To ask for a refund, contact us within 14 days of the charge with the server name and the receipt: for Adrenaline Plus in the Adrenaline support server, and for Clover Gold in the Clover support server or with /help. If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, we may pause the plan for that server while the dispute is open.

6. Outages

Short outages do not entitle you to a refund. If a bot is unavailable to a paying server for more than 7 days in a row because of a problem on our side, you can ask for a credit for that time.

7. Failed payments and moving back to free

If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and emails you. For Clover Gold, Clover also tells the server owner, and Gold stays on for a short grace period (currently 3 days). Adrenaline Plus stays on while Stripe retries. If the payment is still not made, or when a trial or subscription ends without a new one, the server moves back to the free version: the paid features stop, the free features keep working, and your settings are kept for when the server upgrades again. A server that loses Adrenaline Plus goes back to the free limits and the bot's normal name and picture in that server.

8. Taxes

Prices may not include sales taxes such as GST, HST, PST or QST. Where we are required to charge them, they are added at checkout based on the billing details you give Stripe.

9. Price changes

We may change the price of a plan. We will tell subscribers at least 30 days before a new price applies to them, through the bot's messages or by email. The new price applies from your first renewal after that date. If you do not agree, cancel before then.

10. Free servers and promotions

We may give a plan for free to some servers, or offer promotion codes and discounts. These can be changed or ended, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred.

11. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, and Stripe's terms apply to how it handles your payment. We never see or store your full card details. The plans are not sold through Discord, so Discord's purchase terms do not apply to them.

12. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including those of British Columbia and the province or country where you live.
