Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the Adrenaline Discord bot and its website and dashboard at adrenalinebot.xyz (including the CAD and ER:LC tools), and the Clover Discord bot, together with the paid plans Adrenaline Plus and Clover Gold. Both bots are run by Adrenaline Systems Ltd. ("we", "us"). They apply whether you add a bot to a server, manage it, subscribe to a plan, sign in to the dashboard, or are a member of a server that uses one. By using Adrenaline or Clover you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and, if you pay for a plan, the Payment Policy. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. Discord's terms

Adrenaline and Clover run on Discord. You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Neither bot is made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Discord Inc. Adrenaline's ER:LC features use the Police Roleplay Community API; they are not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Police Roleplay Community or Roblox.

2. Who can use the bots

You must meet Discord's minimum age (at least 13, or older where local law requires). To buy Adrenaline Plus or Clover Gold you must be an adult who can make a binding contract where you live, or have a parent's or guardian's permission and have them agree to these terms. If you add a bot to a server or subscribe for one, you confirm you are allowed to do so for that server.

3. Paid plans

Adrenaline Plus and Clover Gold are monthly subscriptions for one Discord server each. Prices, renewal, cancelling, refunds, failed payments, taxes and price changes are set out in the Payment Policy, which forms part of these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use either bot, the website or the dashboard to harass, threaten, spy on or discriminate against anyone, or for anything illegal;
• misuse reports, appeals, applications, the help desk, 911 calls or chat replies, for example by spamming them or filing false reports;
• get around the bots' protections, permissions or cooldowns, or use them to raid or damage other servers;
• attack, overload, probe or disrupt the bots, the website or the systems they run on, or try to access data you are not allowed to see;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to extract content, code or data from the website or dashboard;
• distribute malware or harmful content through either bot;
• abuse free trials or promotions (for example by re-adding a bot or using several accounts to get more trials), or use stolen payment details;
• copy, reverse engineer, decompile or resell either bot, or pretend to be Adrenaline, Clover or our team.

5. Content

You keep ownership of what you post and enter, including CAD records you create. You allow the bots to process that content as needed to provide their features, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you post and for the forms, rules, templates, records and messages you set up.

6. Our property

Adrenaline and Clover, including their code, website, dashboard, CAD, designs, layouts, names, logos and other original materials, are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Using them gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use their features as intended, and no ownership of or rights to the bots themselves. Some dashboard code is delivered to your browser so it can work; that does not give you permission to use it for anything else. Unless we give written permission, you may not copy, redistribute, sell or publish any part of them, use them to build or train a product that copies or competes with them, remove branding or copyright notices, or get around any measure that restricts access to their code, features or data. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived.

7. Availability

We work to keep both bots running, but they may be unavailable at times, for example during maintenance, outages at Discord, Stripe, the ER:LC API or our host, or security incidents. Short outages do not entitle you to a refund; see the Payment Policy for credits after longer outages.

8. Changes to the bots

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a major part of a paid plan, subscribers can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of the current month.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using either bot at any time; cancel any paid plan first if you do not want to be charged again. Server admins can remove a bot from their server. We may limit, suspend or end either bot for any server or user that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, commits payment fraud, tries to copy or compromise the bots, or where the law requires, without a refund if it is because of a breach. If we stop offering a bot altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice where we can and refund the unused part of the current month. When a bot leaves a server, its stored data for that server is deleted on the schedules in the Privacy Policy, except records we must keep by law.

10. Disclaimer

Adrenaline and Clover are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that the bots will catch every harmful message, raid or attack, never act by mistake, keep backups that can restore everything, or that CAD and ER:LC data will always be complete or current. You are responsible for your server's safety and for keeping your own copies of anything important.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, members, profits or reputation, arising from your use of either bot or their absence, including actions a bot takes because of a server's settings. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Adrenaline Plus or Clover Gold in the 3 months before the claim (or CAD $20 if you paid nothing). These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

12. What Adrenaline does

Adrenaline provides a CAD and MDT (calls, units, records, warrants, citations, court and reports), ER:LC moderation (live players, logs, punishments, appeals, a console), staff and community tools (shifts, leave, forms, documents, session votes, events, suggestions), moderation, utility, games and other features, through Discord and the dashboard. Features depend on how each server sets Adrenaline up and may change over time.

13. Server administration and permissions

Server owners and admins are responsible for setting Adrenaline up for their community, choosing who can see and use the dashboard and CAD, and granting only the Discord permissions they are comfortable with; some features stop working if permissions are removed. Moderation features are tools and may not detect every problem. You remain responsible for decisions made with Adrenaline's moderation, CAD and administrative features.

14. ER:LC server keys and connected accounts

If you connect an ER:LC server, you confirm you are allowed to use its API key and to let Adrenaline act on that server (for example running commands or bans). Keep your key private; if it may have leaked, change it in ER:LC and reconnect. If you link your Roblox account, you confirm it is yours; members can unlink at any time. CAD records and roleplay content are fictional in-game material; do not enter real personal information about real people into the CAD.

Replays, rule-break flags and the ban network

• Replays: server admins who share a replay are responsible for sharing it only where appropriate, and should hide player names when that is kinder or required.
• Rule-break flags (/detect) help staff notice likely rule breaks. They can be wrong, and they cannot see weapons or voice chat. Staff must check the replay and decide themselves.
• The ban network is for serious offences only (exploiting, harassment, cheating, hate) with real evidence. Reporting someone falsely, for a personal dispute or for anything else is not allowed. We may remove reports and suspend a server from the network, and a player can appeal any report at adrenalinebot.xyz/network. The network never bans anyone automatically: each server decides.
• Imports: admins who import data from other bots must have the right to use it.

15. What Clover does

Clover helps moderate and run Discord servers: filtering messages and names, spam, scam, raid and nuke protection, backups, verification, a help desk, reports, applications and ban appeals with interviews, linked servers, voice moderation and optional voice recording, staff tools and reports. Features depend on how each server sets Clover up, and may change over time (see section 8). Every server can use Clover Free; Clover Gold unlocks everything else (see the Payment Policy).

16. Responsibilities of Clover server admins

If you add, manage or subscribe for Clover in a server, you agree to:

• set it up and use it responsibly, and give Clover only the permissions it needs;
• tell your members, for example in your server rules, that messages may be checked and logged, that staff can see logs, reports, transcripts and applications, and that voice channels may be recorded;
• keep staff channels, staff reports, recordings and application exports private to the people who need them, and use them only to run your server safely;
• only link servers you run, and understand that linked servers can share settings, moderation history, bans, logs, help requests, reports and appeals;
• follow the privacy, data protection and recording laws that apply to you and your members, and handle their requests about their data in your server;
• review important automated actions and undo mistakes when members point them out.

17. Voice recording

Only server admins can start a recording. Clover announces every recording in the voice channel chat, marks itself as recording, and tells people who join. Members can opt out with /recording optout. Admins may only record where it is lawful and for a legitimate reason, and must not share recordings publicly or use them to harass anyone. Recordings are deleted automatically after the period the server chooses.

18. Moderation decisions and appeals

Each server's staff decide their rules and moderation. Adrenaline and Clover act on their settings. We do not review individual cases and are not responsible for decisions staff make. Automated filters can be wrong: if you think Clover acted on you by mistake, contact that server's staff with /help. If you were banned from a server that takes appeals through Clover, use /appeal in Clover's direct messages; for Adrenaline, use /appeal where the server offers it.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, but if you are a consumer you may also be able to bring a claim where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will give notice through the bots' messages or in the servers they support at least 30 days before they apply to paid subscriptions. Using the bots after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, cancel any paid plan and stop using them.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Payment Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Adrenaline and Clover. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours if a bot is taken over by someone else, who must then honour them.
